Ocimene refers to several isomeric organic compounds. The ocimenes are often found naturally as mixtures of the various forms. The mixture is an oil with a pleasant odor which is used in perfumery. It is nearly insoluble in water, but soluble in most common organic solvents.

3-Methoxy-4-hydroxyphenylglycol (MHPG) is a metabolite of norepinephrine degradation. In the brain, it is the principal norepinephrine metabolite. It is released into the blood and cerebrospinal fluid, and a blood sample of it may therefore be an indication of recent sympathetic nervous system activity.

Agent Orange, a defoliant used by the U.S. in the Vietnam War, was equal parts 2,4,5-T and 2,4-D.
