Desvenlafaxine succinate, marketed under the name Pristiq, is an antidepressant of the serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor class from Wyeth. It is a metabolite of venlafaxine (Effexor). Pristiq is also being targeted as the first non-hormonal based treatment for menopause.
